Kudos to the USPS. A (Priority Mail) package sent from Alabama on Saturday was delivered to my home today. Now that is service.
My package contained two quilts from professional longarmer, Colley Haynes. Colley does great work and is a delight to work with. And we have never met each other face to face.
Dancing Nine Patch is a free pattern from Quiltville.com.
I have a drawer of 2″ strips and 2″ squares that are sewn together as leaders and enders. The four patches are stored in a bin until needed for a project.
If you make Dancing Nine Patch as a leader and ender project, you will have it finished in no time.
Colley quilted Dancing Nine Patch with a close meander design. The finished size is 56X56.
Playground is from the book Simply Retro with Camille Roskelley. There are 19 patterns in this book and I want to make them all!
This quilt is made with a layer cake, Comma, by Moda. Playground finished at 73X61 and is quilted in a design called waves.
While I would rather be machine sewing, these two quilts need labels and the bindings stitched by hand.
Do you make a secondary quilt with leaders and enders while working on a primary project?
