Tuesday Sew Day

The words “I am in Columbia” jumped off an email from Aby Dolinger early this morning.

What a pleasant surprise when Aby joined 30 other volunteers at Northeast Presbyterian to sew luoPads for women and teens in Zimbabwe.    We finished 165 pads today!  You can watch a short video on the luoPad project at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLj7LyNFUw4.

Volunteers are always needed and welcome.  Even if you do not sew, there are many other steps in the process that you can contribute to.

Several different sewing related projects are on the cutting mat and at the sewing machine.  Need to make labels for two Quilts of Valor so I can finish sewing the binding.  Binding is needed for a third quilt.  I was caught up with kennel quilts, batting is cut but I need to cut fabric and put orphan blocks together.  My cat border fabric quilt is in need of attention along with my fat quarter quilt-a-long for March.

Sew much to do.

What projects are you working on?
