Binding and labels on two Quilts of Valor, ready for presentation.  This pattern is Split Rail Fence by Beth Karr.  There will be more information after the presentations.

As time allows, I continue to fill special size requests for kennel quilts.  Fabric and batting are cut out for 6 large and 3 small are on the machine ready for stitching.

The Kid’s Quilted Play Mat is near completion.  One more border is needed to complete the top; then a decision for the backing.  The binding will be the same fabric as the final border.

If you have a border fabric that you are not sure what to do with, this free pattern can be downloaded from Kid’s Quilted Play Mat.

Playtime with Pinwheels is my Fat Quarter Quilt-A-Long (QAL)challenge for March.  This free pattern is from Aby Dolinger.  For more information on the QAL or for the free pattern, check out Aby Quilts.

It is still a work in progress with two borders remaining.  The fourth border is pieced with half-square triangles and pieced corners.

When nothing else would fit in my drawer of 2 1/2″ strips, I pulled some out, added 2 1/2″ squares between the different fabrics and finished this Jelly Roll Race together as a Leader and Ender project.  Before you know it, a top is done.  I’ll add two borders and call it finished.

These are the projects I’m working on that I hope to finish this week.

What projects are you working on or getting ready to start?

Wow, Stephanie, you have an ambitious agenda for the coming week! Here’s hoping this leap day of leap year spells extra sewing time for you. I am working on “Chopped” by Joan Ford, a 12 star quilt for charity, and 6″ blocks for my Splendid Sampler (promoted by Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson).
